Scottish indie band The Snuts brought their latest tour to Liverpool, and we were lucky enough to be in attendance.
The alt rock quartet brought good vibes, undeniable melodies and above all introspective and reflective lyrics. Forming in school, The Snuts have always made it their goal to not sound like everyone else, which is no small feat in a genre so popular. However, the Scots have something to say, and a unique sound they should be proud to call their own. The night consisted of a mega 26 track setlist, pulled from all three of their astounding studio albums.
Each member of the band has a presence on stage, but in particular, lead singer Jack Cochrane fronts the band with ease, allowing the other members to follow suit. The packed venue in Liverpool enjoyed every moment of every song, from "Millionaires" the opening track, to "Knuckles" to "Don't Forget It (Punk)". The band have claimed to have taken inspiration from the likes of The Libertines and Arctic Monkeys. If listeners fancy a twist on either of these popular indie classics, The Snuts are the way to go.
The Snuts' rise from 2015 seemingly happened in one very quick blur. They went from starting out as a band, to being all over the internet, everywhere you looked, appealing to all ages. Now we've seen them live, it's easy to see why. The professionalism and talent of the band are undeniable and pull the listener or in this case, the audience in. Perfect for indie fans everywhere, we highly recommend adding these guys to your playlists, and catching them on future tours.
