Post hardcore band Enter Shikari are known for their live shows, and we had the great honour of covering their recent show in Liverpool, which solidified their reputation as one of the best live bands in the business.
With a career spanning 25 years, Enter Shikari have more than perfected their craft, with several bestselling albums and sold out tours. Liverpool's Mountford Hall was full to the brim, which is no surprise, given the shows we've seen the band play before. The set opened with "Bloodshot" and "Antwerpen", with frontman Rou Reynolds leading the band with stellar vocals and an abundance of stage presence. The crowd surfers from the audience reflected this energy, building the atmosphere in the whole room.
"Destabilise" and "Anything Can Happen in the Next Half Hour..." continued the setlist, as the energy only increased. Each member of the 4-piece handles themselves with professionalism and passion, each contributing to Shikari's live reputation. Their most recent album A Kiss For The Whole World, earned the band their first no.1 album, and we were delighted to hear many songs from the 2023 album, as were the crowd. The older tracks are just as popular with their adoring fans, and every member of the audience moshed and sang their heart out.
This show was absolutely unmissable for us, and we would recommend that anyone who has the slightest interest in seeing Enter Shikari live, should get themselves tickets ASAP. We were waiting all year for this show, and it did not disappoint. "Stop the Clocks" and "A Kiss For the Whole World x" brought the show and night to a close. Enter Shikari are without a doubt a fantastic band, who still have so much more left to give, and so much more of their story left to follow.
