Bloodywood are one of the most unique, distinct bands in the scene at the moment, and there was no way we could miss the opportunity to see them in person. Indian heavy metal is something we never knew we needed, but Bloodywood showed us exactly what we were missing.

    SUPPORT FROM DEMONIC RESURRECTION

    SUPPORT FROM CALVA LOUISE

Beginning the night with "Dana Dan", and we were completely transported. Bloodywood have blended traditional nu-metal components with regional Indian instruments and sounds. And the result is explosive. It is not hard to see why the fans in the crowd are as passionate and enamoured as they appear. Lead vocalist Jayant Bhadula's vocals are astounding, complimented by the flutes and guitars contributed by Karan Katiyar. On top of that, Raoul Kerr brings in rap vocals, reminiscent of Linkin Park add a whole new layer that makes every beat of music exciting.

Bloodywood's live show also feature touring musicians who play bass, drums and dhol, an Indian drum. "Jee Veerey" and "Bekhauf" were standouts of the night, and the audience clearly agreed with us. In a scene that is constantly sprouting new bands who claim to have a new sound, Bloodywood are one of the only hands who truly cannot be compared to anyone else. They have become the first metal act from India the enter Billboard's chart, a massive achievement and hopefully they can keep going as they are. "Machi Bhasad" and "Halla Bol" came next.

Following the release of their 2025 record Nu Delhi, the band have only gained popularity and recognition, which is absolutely deserved. The live show brought their music to life, and made for an unforgettable experience. A must-see band.
